Core Restore taught me safe exercises to do when pregnant and post-partum. I had no idea certain exercises (such as crunches and sit ups) should not be done in the third trimester and that it can make diastasis recti worse. I learned what diastasis recti was and how to execute some safe exercises to help correct it. I am able to perform these exercises at home and in the class with guidance from Jaime on correct form.

I started the Core Restore program when I was about 7 months pregnant. This was my third pregnancy and I thought the program might keep my core strong and make recovery a little easier. The program was so easy to do and very adaptable for my changing body. Jai does an awesome job of explaining every move and it's importance. When it was time for delivery, I actually only had to push one time for the baby to be born! My husband was shocked. I think the Core Restore program was key to making that happen. Thanks Jai!

I am so grateful for Trainer Jai's Core Restore. I started her program before I got pregnant with my second child. I stayed with the program through out my pregnancy and after having a natural birth was able to continue and get back into a routine in no time. I battle a condition called POTS and the exercises that I have learned have helped me tremendously. Strengthening my core has helped with blood flow and I continue to see major improvements. I would highly recommend this program!

My passion for health and fitness began as a young teen who spent her chore money on sports and fitness magazines. I would "geek out" with any medical anatomy journals I could get my hands on, delighting in the multisyllabic words and coloring muscle charts. During that time frame, I began practicing Pilates and weightlifting to counter the muscular imbalances I was experiencing from my competitive sports injuries.

Fascinated by the body and how all the systems come together to produce movement, energy, and vitality I became a student at Shepherd University. Where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Sports Fitness, graduating with honors. This, of course, only heightened my level of nerdiness over human anatomy and kinesiology. And a lifetime of learning and teaching began.

One of the most formative moments of my career and life came in 2010 when after many months of debilitating pain, I was diagnosed with Degenerative Spine Disease and underwent cervical spine surgery. After a year of intense rehab, my neurosurgeon urged me to continue doing Pilates consistently for its benefits in spinal alignment, core strength, and muscular balance. Spine surgery and a partial hysterectomy under my belt (pun, ha) a few years later meant that I developed programs that I used myself. Specializing in pelvic floor and deep core restoration, metabolic weight management, and chronic pain management are not a hobby, they are my lifestyle.

Various health and fitness certifications have blessed my career including certified Personal Trainer, National Pilates Teacher, 200 Registered Yoga Teacher/YACEP, Prenatal Exercise Specialist, Creator and Trainer of Dharana Aerial Yoga Curriculum, Aerial Yoga Instructor, and Creator of Core Restore, and Pelvic Floor Specialist all while raising two beautiful young women of whom I am most proud.

My passion is to help people find gratitude for their body’s strengths, courage to progress in its weaknesses, and a quality of life that manifests from both.
